Abstract

The article presents an overview of the international scientific and practical conference “Private International Law: Continuity and Development”, dedicated to the memory of Lazar Adolfovich Lunts, Doctor of Law, Professor, laureate of the USSR State Prize, Honored Scientist of the RSFSR, and held on November 15, 2022 at the Institute of Legislation and Comparative Law under the Government of the Russian Federation. The conference participants discussed topical issues of private international law and international civil procedure, including such as the place of PIL in the system of modern regulation of international property relations, the establishment of a hierarchy of sources of private international law, unification of legal regulation of security obligations in the field of public procurement, legal support of the investment climate, legal aspects of parallel import, a combination of private and public-law principles in the regulation of international commercial contracts, peculiarities of the legal status of international companies, modern infrastructure of cross-border energy, recognition and enforcement of foreign court decisions, etc.
