Editorial Policy
The mission of the Journal is to provide an opportunity to publish the results Russian and foreign doctrinal studies reflecting the main trends in the development of the branches of law.
The Journal Purpose is to study the experiences serving as a starting point for the synthesis of new ideas and discoveries in the field of law.
The Journal's Objectives
- Study of foreign experience of legal regulation in order to acquaint Russian scholars and practitioners with the most effective practices of regulation of social relations
- Comparative legal analysis of foreign and Russian experience
- Search for substantiated solutions in the field of law making, public administration, legal regulation and law enforcement
- Provision of continuity in fundamental scientific thought
- Expansion of international readership, increased interest of foreign experts in the Russian legal science
- Consolidation of efforts of scientific community in resolving legal problems related to the processes of integration, globalization and effective interaction between states
The Journal Publishes Research Articles Containing:
- A study of contemporary problems of legal regulation

Open Access Policy
The Editorial Office guarantees open access to archived electronic issues of the Journal of Foreign Legislation and Comparative Law at jzsp.jes.su, jzsp.ru, elibrary.ru, znanium.com, and cyberleninka.ru.
Commitment to Ethical Principles
The editorial office, editorial board, and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Foreign Legislation and Comparative Law are guided in their activities by the ethical principles for scientific publications, based on the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics, a worldwide nonprofit organization that aims to support publishers and editors in achieving high standards of publication ethics, and recommendations for principles that should underlie statements on publication ethics and global best practices in the field of scientific publications ethics, such as the recommendations on countering unfair publishing practices (PEMS) as well as Russian legislation regulating copyright and mass communications, and require all participants in the publishing process to comply with them.
Copyright
The Editorial Office, the Editorial Council and the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Foreign Legislation and Comparative Law are guided in their activities by the Russian legislation regulating copyright and do not allow copyright infringement in the Journal.
The Editorial Council of the Journal is responsible for making decisions on the publication of articles sent to the Editorial Office of the Journal and is guided by the relevant provisions of the current Russian legislation regarding copyright infringement and plagiarism.
The authors undertake to comply with the norms of Russian legislation regulating copyright and mass communications.
The publisher of the Journal of Foreign Legislation and Comparative Law and the author conclude a contract on the alienation of the exclusive right to the published article (work).
The author fully alienates to the publisher the exclusive right to the work owned by him/her.
The publisher has the right to use the work in any form and in any way not contradicting the law, including: to publish the work in any number of copies; to carry out commercial, advertising and other activities related to the use of the work; to give permission (license) to third parties to use the work (including co-publishing agreements) or to prohibit third parties from using the work.
The publisher has the right to use the rights transferred under the contract in the territory of the Russian Federation and in other countries during the whole term of validity of the copyright.
No royalties are paid to the author.
Fee for Publication
No fee is charged from the author for the preparation of material for publication..
